Far Cry 4 is an action adventure first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It is the successor to the 2012 video game Far Cry 3 and the fourth main installment in the Far Cry series. The game was released on November 18,2014.
Announced in May 2014, development on Far Cry 4 began immediateky after the shipment of Assassin's Creed III in late 2012. The team originally intended to developed a direct sequel to Far Cry 3 that comtinues 3's story, but the idea was later scrapped and the team decided to developed a new setting and cstume of the game's antagonist Pagan Min was inspired by Japanese films Ichi the Killer and Brother. The game's competitive multiplayer was created by Red Storm Entertainment while the Shangri La segments in the campaign were handled by Ubisoft Toronto.

Ubisoft expected the game to sell at least six million copies in its first year of release. Far Cry 4 became the fastest- selling game and the mist successfuk launch in the series in the first week of release. Far Cry 4 was the second best selling game in the United Kingdom for all formats during the week of its release, only behind Grand Theft Auto: V. It was also the sixth best selling game in the US according to The NPD Group. As of December 31,2014, the game has shipped seven million copies.
Plot:
Ajay Ghale was given a dying wisg from his mother: Return her ashes to a place called Lakhsmana in the mysterious Himalayan Land of Kyrat. However,once he arrives, he's thurst into a civil war between rebelliious Golden Path and despotic, flamboyant king Pagan Min. As Ajay undertakes the duty his own father died in service of, he must destroy Min's forces in the South and fourth of Kyrat, on top of negotiating a dispute between the Golden Path leader's ( Amita and Sabal), as they debate tradition versus progress, all the white fighting closer and closer to the mysterious Lakshmana. As Ajay, the player will navigate the hostile terrain of Kyrat freely. Destroy enemy outpost to gain a footfold in contested territory. Explore the otherworldlt Shangri La through the eyes of a legendary Kyrati Warrior. Hunt for animals or assist the locals in the retrieving hostages, or assassinate soldiers in Assassination and Eye missions. Kyrat is yours, Take it Back
